Aston Villa ace Louie Barry continues to impress at Stockport County.

The youngster joined the League Two side on a season-long loan in the summer window and has started in all eight league games. It also didn’t take him long to adapt to new surroundings, however.

Barry has scored five goals in the last five games. He was once again on the scoresheet in their 2-1 win at MK Dons on Saturday.

The previous game, saw him score a goal and provide an assist as County defeated AFC Wimbledon 2-1 in London.

He has now become the first player at Stockport to score in five goals in five league games since Anthony Elding in 2007/08. A County fan said: “Unbelievable player. Going to break our hearts when he goes back to Villa at the end of the season.”

A second added: “Different gravy,” while a third replied: “What a player!”

Another concluded: “Don’t think he’s started going just yet. Top quality.”

Stockport is Barry’s fifth career move on loan away from Villa Park as he looks to build up his experience of first-team football.
