‘We all know’ – Manager sends Nottingham Forest transfer update on £30m midfielder

Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as PSV boss Peter Bosz gives an update on Reds transfer target Ibrahim Sangare.

PSV boss Peter Bosz has told Nottingham Forest their midfielder target Ibrahim Sangare “can still leave” this summer.

Sangare is said to be head coach Steve Cooper’s top target for the middle of the park, with Leeds’ Tyler Adams and Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi also on a list of targets.

But it is the PSV midfielder who tops the pack, and his manager has confirmed that he can still move on this summer, with a host of clubs said to be interest in his services.

“That he can still leave, it’s true,” Bosz said, per Voetbal Primeur. “We all know that. I think he is playing well. He is not distracted by what might be going on.

“No, I have no influence on that. But I hope he is retained.”

The 25-year-old midfielder has played 29 games in each of the last three Eredivisie seasons, and has shone in defensive midfield during Champions League and Europa League games.

Forest are in the market for a defensive midfielder after Jack Colback’s summer departure, with Jonjo Shelvey also likely to move on before the transfer deadline.

The Reds made an offer to PSV for Sangare last month, and commands a price tag in the region of £35 million. He signed a new contract last summer, so is tied to the Dutch club until the summer of 2027. He has had admirers at the City Ground for some time.
