Ange Postecoglou has named an alternate line-up with 10 changes to the outfield players for Tottenham’s final friendly of pre-season as they take on Barcelona in the Catalan city.

Spurs take on Xavi’s side in the Joan Gamper Trophy match at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys as Barcelona play their first home game away from the Camp Nou, which is being redeveloped. It is the first football match to be played at the stadium in 14 years.

Tottenham only played Shakhtar Donetsk on Sunday afternoon, beating the Ukrainian side 5-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with most players getting 90 minutes of action, and Postecoglou admitted after that game that he would have to change things around for the Barcelona match.

Plenty of players have been left at home following their efforts in that match, including the likes of Harry Kane, James Maddison, Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, Destiny Udogie and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Richarlison had a knock which meant he missed the match on Sunday, but the Brazilian is back to start against Barcelona.

Postecoglou has decided to keep Guglielmo Vicario in goal to give him further experience of playing with the Tottenham defenders in front of him, with a back four this time of Pedro Porro, Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier and Sergio Reguilon.
