Instalments claim emerges as Everton now push forward to seal £30m transfer - report

The English media outlet reported on its website on Friday (11 August) that the Toffees want to Leeds a reduced fee upfront and more in instalments over the coming seasons.

It’s understood that the Whites are looking at £30million in order to secure the services of the 19-year-old Italy international.

Sign him

The deal the Toffees are fancying is actually beneficial to them as they will not have to shell out that kind of money at once.

Instalments can help them structure the deal in a way that they can be on the right side of FFP and sign players who normally wouldn’t be in their budget.

If a senior striker isn’t being signed barring Youssef Chermiti, there’s every reason to believe that Gnonto is being targeted to lead the line.

Arnaut Danjuma has played as a nine in pre season, but he’s played most of his games off the left while the Italian has been deployed more centrally in the past than the Dutchman.

It may all come down to finances as there seems to be a feeling that Gnonto is looking for a way out of Elland Road post their relegation.

It remains to be seen how keen Sean Dyche is and whether or not he pushes the envelope in order to get this deal over the line.
